REGISTERIn its representation of the Fascist cultural universe, this book explores three topics: the regime's cultural policy, the various arts and disciplines' circumstances, the totalitarian state's distinctive ideology. In her description of the cultural policy enacted by the Fascist party and government, the author addresses the choices made by Italy's ruling class from 1922 to 1943 and describes the scope of intellectuals and artists' contribution to Fascism. The resulting Fascist ideology was a system of visions, ideals, and especially myths, which guided political action and promoted a specific worldview.
